Four great ways to stay connected with your community

Staying connected with your local community and spending time with others, including making new friends in the community, can be a really uplifting experience.

Four great ways to stay more connected in 2023:

  1. Social clubs can provide a sense of community and support, and are great for those looking to connect with new friends, catch up with old friends and share new experiences by participating in games and social activities. Your local social club is safe and supportive environment for everyone including those living with dementia. Find out more about social clubs in your area: Join a Social Club

  2. We recognise how important mental health support is for older people to maintain a healthy life. Our older people’s mental health service covers the assessment, treatment and management of individuals and their need. Access support here

  3. Are you a regular user of mobile and laptop devices? For the opportunity to stay up-to-date with digital technology, The NSW Government is rolling out Tech Savvy Seniors – a free program to help you stay connected with loved ones, access essential services and learn new skills at the same time. Get connected today.

  4. Check local council and government websites for upcoming social events in your area, such as find out what is happening at NSW Seniors Festival.
