Clinical trials in palliative and end-of-life care

Our palliative care clinical trials focus on symptom management and enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of people living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families.

Current and recent trials include:

  • Treatment for anorexia in people with advanced cancer
  • Feasibility of group program for people living with serious illness

Clinical trials are often conducted through and based at our hospital services. This includes initiating our own studies, alongside collaboration and co-design with groups such as the Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative (PaCCSC) and the Cancer Symptoms Trial group.
