Can you help relieve loneliness this Christmas?
As the festive season approaches, imagine facing it alone, with only memories for company. This is the reality for many who will spend this time in solitude - many of whom are also in the final stages of life.
Your support will help bring joy and connection for vulnerable people like David this Christmas.
Companionship is a lifeline for David
David has very limited mobility, due heart disease and cancer, and is largely cut off from the companionship and community he once cherished. But thanks to Karen, a HammondCare Volunteer, David can now enjoy weekly art classes at Neringah Hospital or a friendly chat over coffee.
Karen’s companionship has become his lifeline, relieving his isolation with times of connection and joy. For David, nothing compares to real human contact, and Karen’s visits are now a treasured part of his week and help reduce his loneliness.
At HammondCare, our volunteers provide life-changing support for people like David, but many more need help. This Christmas, your donation can bring comfort and joy to someone who would otherwise be alone. Please consider helping reduce loneliness for those who need it most.
