Your donation to The HammondCare Foundation Care Fund will provide critical assistance for the growing number of older people in need, who are unable to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses and everyday essentials.

$60 can provide groceries for home care clients struggling to make ends meet.
$120 can supply fresh bedding or new clothes for vulnerable clients.

John's new bed
John’s bed was in a sorry state. He was forced to tie the bed strings together with an old belt so he could sleep at night.
John was no stranger to discomfort, as he lived in his station wagon for many years before accommodation became available. But his damaged bed had triggered an old lower back injury, affecting John’s ability to sleep.
John’s Care Team contacted The HammondCare Foundation and, thanks to donor generosity, they were able to provide John with a new adjustable bed that was both comfortable and able to meet his care needs.
Bob's steps to safety
Bob was facing a dangerous situation due to a lack of proper steps and handrail at his caravan’s entrance, which is his home.
Bob lives with his wife Mary and has significant mobility issues. They couldn’t afford the cost required for the installation to make his home safe.
The Care Fund covered the finances required to install the steps and handrail for Bob. This essential modification has drastically improved his safety and independence, and eased the pressure on Mary to do the heavy lifting.
This means the couple can safely stay in their own home, together, for longer.
Relying solely on donated funds, our goal is to expand this program from 3 to 17 residential care sites, bringing enough trained animals to engage and offer support to more than 2,000 aged care residents .

Susie's new wardrobe
Susie* was placed in emergency respite care due to elder abuse. Her finances withheld, Susie had only precious few articles of clothing in her possession.
Recognising her need for warmth and comfort during winter, through the Foundation's Care Fund, HammondCare provided funds to purchase a wardrobe of new clothes. Susie was unable to shop for herself, but our team bought her new shirts, trousers, a cozy dressing gown, and much more.
Susie was overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and the joy on her face when she received her new clothes was heart-warming.
